Street-hop sensation Portable has responded with fury to allegations made by activist VeryDarkMan, releasing a diss track and a series of Instagram videos to defend his name and reputation.

Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Olalomi Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has hit back at social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, following a heated exchange that has spilled onto social media and into music.

VeryDarkMan had earlier released a diss track accusing Portable of theft, claiming the singer stole mobile phones and tricycles. In a swift and aggressive response, Portable dropped his own diss record and physically visited the home of a former associate, issuing a 24-hour ultimatum for the identification of those allegedly behind a past assault on him.

In a series of videos posted on Instagram, Portable strongly denied the theft claims. He argued that in a corrupt society, everyone is a thief, only the ones who get caught are labelled criminals. Drawing comparisons, he referenced former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele and ex-Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello, alleging that despite being linked to large-scale corruption, they had faced no severe consequences.

The Zazoo crooner further cursed his accusers, flaunted bundles of cash allegedly received at Seyi Vodi’s event, and warned that those defaming him would face personal ruin. He insisted the theft claims were false and claimed those accusing him had once begged for his help.

Portable also used the opportunity to remind critics of his success, boasting of international travels and career growth, stating that his detractors had not reached his level of fame. Addressing past tensions with VeryDarkMan, particularly during the Felebration event, the singer denied claims of assault and insisted he was being wrongly targeted.
