Tems’ manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi no longer manages multiple award-winning singer, Omah Lay and here is what we know so far.

Tems manager Muyiwa Awoniyi in a post on his social media platform announced that he is no longer in charge of the management of music sensation, Omah Lay and the question of the reason behind this decision has emerged.

The announcement, made public today, Friday, July 25, 2025, signals the end of a professional relationship that has seen Omah Lay rise to global acclaim.

While Donawon did not provide detailed reasons for his departure, the move has already stirred conversations, especially after his pointed response to the ‘My Dealer’ singer, Kaestyle. In a bold statement shared online, Donawon stated, “I agreed to manage Omah to get him out of the very slave deal that you signed. Now he is out, I also am out. You on the other hand are a slave.”

This comment has sparked speculation about internal tensions within the label and the nature of the contracts artists are bound to.

Fans and industry stakeholders alike have been thrown into confusion as Omah Lay took to the social media platform, X to express gratitude to his former manager.

Donawon, known for his vocal stance on artist rights and transparency in music management, appears to be drawing a clear line as he exits the role.

@IAmDonawon The most intelligent nigga I’ve met so far in the game, love you forever my blood💜 🕊️☀️
