Dynamic Christian creative and musician, Viktur Sunday, officially releases his highly anticipated album titled “My Kinda Hymns Vol. 1.”

This 7-track body of work reimagines timeless Christian Hymns through a masterful blend of smooth jazz, hip-hop grooves, Rap, and spoken word artistry.

My Kinda Hymns Vol. 1 isn’t just music, it’s a reflective spiritual journey, artfully designed to speak to the heart of worshippers across generations. Viktur Sunday breathes fresh life into well-known gospel truths, weaving Scripture, sound, and soul into a genre-defying album that is both reverent and revolutionary.

Tracklist:

Spoken Words Pt. 1
I Surrender
Great is thy Faithfulness (GITF)
Because He Lives (BHL)
Spoken Words Pt. 2
It is Well
In Christ Alone

With songs like “I Surrender” and “In Christ Alone,” Viktur invites listeners into intimate spaces of surrender and unwavering trust in God.

The spoken word interludes serve as spiritual anchors throughout the album, setting the tone for each chapter of the worship narrative.

Rooted in Romans 12:1 — “Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” — Viktur Sunday emphasizes the message that worship is a lifestyle, not just a song.

Another key inspiration behind the album is Psalm 96:1, “Sing unto the Lord a new song; sing unto the Lord, all the earth,” reminding believers that expression in worship can be both sacred and creatively free.

Speaking on the heart behind the project, Viktur says:
”This album is my way of offering hymns in my own language — not just musically, but spiritually. These are songs I wish I heard growing up in church: honest, bold, and full of truth — but still cool enough to ride to.”

With My Kinda Hymns Vol. 1, Viktur Sunday carves out a new space in contemporary Christian music — one that’s biblically grounded, rhythmically vibrant, and deeply personal.

The album is now available on all major streaming platforms.
