Manchester United have completed the signing of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig as they anticipate the 2025/26 football season.
Benjamin Sesko was announced on Manchester United’s website on Saturday, August 9, 2025. According to reports from the club, the Slovenia international signed a five-year deal which will keep him at Old Trafford until June 2030.
The forward player explained that the history of Manchester United was why he decided to join the Red Devils despite a better offer from Newcastle United.
He said,
“The history of Manchester United is obviously very special but what really excites me is the future. When we discussed the project, it was clear that everything is in place for this team to continue to grow and compete for the biggest trophies again soon. From the moment that I arrived, I could feel the positive energy and family environment that the club has created. It is clearly the perfect place to reach my maximum level and fulfil all of my ambitions. I cannot wait to start learning from Ruben [Amorim] and connecting with my teammates to achieve the success that we all know we are capable of together.
Manchester United supporters will hope Sesko brings light to the club as they begin their quest to get back to their pinnacle in England and on the continent.
He scored the most goals of any player under 23 in Europe’s top five leagues. The 22-year-old scored 21 goals and registered six assists for RB Leipzig during the last campaign.
