Afrobeats star Davido has reacted to a pastor’s unconventional wedding advice in a viral social media post that’s sparking mixed reactions online.
Following his extravagant white wedding to his wife Chioma in Miami this past weekend, Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken to social media to share a heartfelt and humorous moment from the ceremony.
The Afrobeats sensation posted a video on his Instagram story where one of the officiating pastors gave him a very public piece of advice, referencing his hit song Unavailable.
In the viral clip, the pastor is heard directly addressing Davido, using the artist’s own lyrics to make a point about fidelity. “Davido, I give you credit because when… the world is watching me, I know. David, I remembered last year that one of your songs said, ‘I am unavailable.’ I know there are many women in your band. Some wanted to breathe out of you and will continue to post your pictures. Even today, some will sleep with your picture under their pillows. Please tell them I am no longer available,” the pastor advised.
The reaction of Davido to the pastor’s advice was just as candid as the advice. He shared the clip with the caption, “Clear road!! I Mount,” a declaration that he is officially off the market and ready to embrace his new life as a married man. This public statement is a testament to the couple’s strong bond and Davido’s commitment to his new family.
