American rap superstar Nicki Minaj has joined the list of celebrities congratulating Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, on the success of their white wedding in Miami, Florida.
The Trinidadian-born rapper sent her best wishes while reacting to a post by Davido on X (formerly Twitter), in which he addressed critics of the lavish ceremony.
In his post, the DMW boss described the wedding as a “fairytale” and one of the most memorable days of their lives. “We had an amazing wedding, perfect in fact! Me and my wife body still dey sweet us like this. Nothing una fit do, say, or make up will ever change the fact that we had a fairytale wedding and one of the best days, if not the best day, of our lives! The whole world celebrated us!” he wrote.
Quoting Davido’s message, Nicki Minaj responded with a brief but warm note: “Congratulations to you both.”
This is not the first time the Super Bass hitmaker has publicly celebrated the couple. In 2024, Nicki Minaj paused a live performance to acknowledge news of Davido and Chioma’s traditional wedding, asking the crowd to confirm the reports before sending her well wishes.
Her latest message has since gone viral, adding to the buzz surrounding one of the year’s most talked-about Nigerian celebrity weddings.
