Nigerian rapper A-Q has released his highly anticipated album God’s Engineering 3 (The Beginning), capping off a celebrated trilogy with a powerful and reflective body of work. This 11-track project showcases A-Q’s lyrical prowess and storytelling finesse, blending introspective narratives with hard-hitting beats. Featuring an impressive roster of collaborators including Blaqbonez, Qing Madi, Ajebo Hustlers, Terry Apala, Bkay Eastgaad, Dwin, The Stoic, and Kabex, the album builds on the foundations laid by God’s Engineering (2020) and God’s Engineering 2 (2023), offering a sonic journey through his personal and artistic evolution.

God’s Engineering 3 opens with a reflective tone, weaving themes of struggle, triumph, and faith, the core elements of A-Q’s identity as a rapper from the 100 Crowns and Cordless Entertainment stables. Tracks like Friction set a solemn mood with twinkling keys and sullen synths, while What’s Happening features Blaqbonez’s earwormy hook, lightening the mood with a nod to family amidst social media chaos. The album’s production, a nod to past collaborators like Beats By Jayy, blends soulful samples with gritty hip-hop, as seen in King Solomon, where A-Q vividly mines his past experiences in the music industry. The inclusion of diverse voices like Qing Madi’s soulful tones and Ajebo Hustlers’ energy adds depth, making it a collaborative triumph.

A-Q’s journey, from his early 2000s debut to this trilogy’s conclusion, shines through, offering a reality check for listeners facing similar streets-to-stardom struggles. While no official tracklist or release date was detailed before today, the buzz around the project suggests it’s been eagerly awaited, with its release aligning perfectly with his reputation as one of Africa’s top lyricists. God’s Engineering 3 stands as a testament to A-Q’s engineering of his legacy, delivering bars and brilliance that resonate far beyond Nigeria’s borders.
