Nigerian-born artist Adebayo Adiamo proudly presents his deeply personal and culturally rich new album, Honey Baby. The four-track project blends Afro-inspired rhythms with multilingual lyricism and socially conscious storytelling, offering listeners an authentic glimpse into the life, experiences, and convictions of the rising talent.
Opening with the powerful track “My African Queen,” Adiamo pays tribute to the strength and beauty of African women and the cultural heritage they represent. The song sets the tone for an album that celebrates identity, love, and the power of personal truth.
The title track “Honey Baby” reflects Adiamo’s unique ability to communicate across cultures. Singing in English, Spanish, and his native Nigerian language, he showcases a linguistic fluidity shaped by over a decade of living and studying in Spain. During that time, he earned two master’s degrees, in Business Innovation & Technology Management and Tourism Management, from the University of Girona.
Adebayo’s global outlook and academic discipline also inform the bold third track, “Koboko,” a poignant song confronting a troubling trend: the belief in some communities that taking a life can lead to financial gain. Through haunting melodies and hard truths, Adiamo uses this song as a platform for reflection, awareness, and social responsibility.
The final track, “Destiny,” is a deeply introspective piece chronicling his decision to pursue music over a PhD in Law and Tourism Management. Despite family expectations, especially his mother’s hopes, Adiamo chose to follow his heart. This song captures the emotional tension between duty and passion, offering a moving conclusion to an album rooted in real experience.
Now streaming on all major digital platforms, Honey Baby is a bold step forward for Adebayo Adiamo—one that cements his place as a compelling storyteller and voice in contemporary global music.
