The 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations has come to an end with Ivory Coast emerging as the Champions of the tournament after beating Nigeria 2-1 in the final. However, the memories of the competition will forever remain in the hearts of football lovers around the world.
The body governing football on the continent of Africa, CAF has announced the best 11 players from the just-concluded 2023 AFCON. The idea of the list is to celebrate this set of players who helped their nations to greater heights in the tournament.
The major omission from the list is Super Eagles forward player, Victor Osimhen, who was recently named the best player on the continent. The Napoli striker scored only one goal which came against Equatorial Guinea and also added two assists to his name in the games against Cameroon and South Africa.
