It has been revealed that the Saudi Pro-League giants, Al Nassr have reportedly opened talks with Bayer Leverkusen with the hopes of signing Victor Boniface.
Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr has reportedly opened negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen to sign Nigerian striker Victor Boniface as a replacement for Anderson Talisca, who is set to join Fenerbahce. The club aims to strengthen its attack, which already boasts Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane.
Renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed via his X account on Monday, January 27, 2025, that Al Nassr has begun formal talks to secure the services of the 24-year-old Super Eagles forward. Romano highlighted Al Nassr’s intent to outbid Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United, in the race for Boniface.
He stated, “Al Nassr has started official discussions for Victor Boniface as their new striker! Negotiations are underway with Bayer Leverkusen to replace Talisca. Another option is Jhon Durán, but Aston Villa remains determined to retain him.”
Boniface, who recently renewed his contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2026, is one of the Bundesliga side’s highest-paid players. However, reports suggest the club is open to selling the Nigerian forward for a fee of at least €50 million.
The 2023/24 Bundesliga Rookie of the Season, Boniface, had a stellar debut campaign, contributing to Bayer Leverkusen’s unbeaten league and cup double under Xabi Alonso with 21 goals. Despite injury setbacks this season, he has already scored six goals in the Bundesliga.
