Nigerian singer and songwriter, Mr Eazi, has dropped his fourth album, “The Evil Genius,” which was unveiled on October 27th. This album comprises sixteen tracks, each accompanied by artwork created by thirteen artists originating from eight distinct African countries.
Mr Eazi‘s latest album, “The Evil Genius,” not only showcases his talent as a musician but also highlights his role as a curator and ambassador. This album marks his official full-length debut, following a string of vibrant and rich hits as well as mixtape-style releases. “The Evil Genius” boasts a truly international flavor, with various parts of the LP being written and recorded in locations such as Benin, Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, the U.S., and the U.K.
This diverse range of influences is evident in the album’s sound, from the palm-wine-guitar shimmer and highlife horns in “Fefe Ne Fefe” to the robust and moody Afro drill of “Advice,” and even to “Exit,” a joyous and captivating track featuring the Soweto Gospel Choir.
