Arsenal Football Club have received a huge boost ahead of their UEFA Champions League fixture against Dinamo Zagreb with two key players returning from injury.
Mikel Arteta confirmed that the team had both Ethan Nwaneri and Riccardo Calafiori in training leading to the game against Zagreb. However, he confirmed that William Saliba was not present on Tuesday after picking up an injury against Tottenham.
Arteta said,
“We missed them for a few weeks and they returned today for training and they’ll be available for the game.”
Calafiori returns after missing Arsenal’s last three matches due to injury, having struggled for fitness across much of the season. He will be in contention to face Dinamo on Wednesday following his return.
Meanwhile, Nwaneri has been missing since picked up a muscle injury against Brighton earlier this month. He has been a regular for the Gunners since he broke into the first team.
Arsenal will be hoping to return to winning ways after their disappointing result against Zagreb.
