Currently, Arsenal is not willing to pay their full release clause price, as Napoli asks, considering Osimhen is worth €75 million.
According to the newspaper Calcio Napoli 24, Arsenal is ready to pay approximately €75, 000,000 for the forward, which seems to be less than the mentioned release clause, which is about €120, 000,000 to €130, 000,000 depending on the source. The Gunners are not financially willing to stomach this steep price tag.
The Arsenal strikers have been scouting for new talents for some time now, with Toney and Isak reportedly on their shortlist in the past. But they are no longer constrained to those leagues, and AFC Bournemouth has Osimhen listed as one of their target strikers.
Over the past few weeks, Benjamin Sesko has emerged as Arsenal’s prime transfer target, but the Slovenian striker recently decided to renew his contract with RB Leipzig and, thus, might not have the previously reported release clause anymore. Nevertheless, Arsenal’s management still retains Osimhen on their radar for potential transfers but is not willing to match Napoli’s inflated asking price.
The gunners’ estimated worth for the Nigerian international is €75 million, which is far above the amount Napoli has placed on Osimhen’s release clause. This gap therefore implies that negotiations might not be easy going, especially for the prospect of acquiring players from Napoli since its president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, is famous for not relenting on asking for high transfer fees.
Since Arsenal is unwilling to budge from their valuation, the club may have to look for other options or have the structure of the deal worked out if the club is to get their hands on Osimhen.
