Nigerian artist Fireboy DML has expressed his admiration for his fellow musician and record label associate, Asake. He praised Asake’s Bandana for showcasing his exceptional talent and vibrant energy, noting that Asake recorded his verse for their 2022 collaborative hit, “Bandana,” while on a tour bus.

In an interview with Ebro, Fireboy attributed the success of their collaboration to their long-standing professional relationship, which began during their time as undergraduates at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ife.

“Our record label [YBNL] boss, Olamide, advised me to feature Asake on Bandana. We sent it to him. He recorded that song on his tour bus. It was quick. The energy was insane,” he said.

“Asake is someone I’ve known since way back. We went to the same university. He has a very crazy personality.

“He’s a born star. We had that synergy from way back in school. We had similar struggles. We went through almost the same journey,” he added.

In other news, A video has emerged depicting Bobrisky being apprehended by two individuals in green vests. The men in the footage can be seen forcibly removing him from the aircraft he had boarded for a flight to London. This event follows Bobrisky’s earlier detention by the Nigerian Immigration Service, which was due to allegations of attempting to leave the country to evade bribery investigations. Subsequent to his release, Bobrisky showcased a new appearance on Instagram, accompanied by a bold declaration.

In a recent update, he asserted that he was rearrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the airport the previous night. Bobrisky claimed to have suffered injuries during the arrest, sharing a video to substantiate his assertions. “Nigerians, assist me! The EFCC has just taken me into custody. I am seriously injured,” he wrote.

The details surrounding the circumstances of Bobrisky’s most recent arrest remain ambiguous.
