Afropop stars Ayra Starr and Tyla have been announced as part of the official lineup for the 2025 Global Citizen Festival, set to take place on September 27, 2025 at Central Park’s Great Lawn in New York City.
The two rising global talents will join an A-list roster of performers, including The Weeknd, Shakira, and Mariah the Scientist. The event will be hosted by award-winning actor Hugh Jackman and is themed “Amplify the Movement”, aligning with Global Citizen’s mission to fight poverty, demand equity, and drive social change through music and advocacy.
This marks another major milestone for Nigerian singer Ayra Starr and South African breakout star Tyla, as they continue to gain international recognition for their unique sounds and cultural impact.
