
Barcelona forward player, Robert Lewandowski has been ruled out of next Sunday’s Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid .
Barcelona confirmed the extent of Ŕobert Lewandowski’s injury on its official website on Sunday, April 20, 2025 which was after the game against Celta Vigo. According to reports from the club the Polish striker will be looking to be fit for the UEFA Champions League semi-final clash against Inter Milan.
How did Robert Lewandowski get injured for Barcelona?
Lewandowski was substituted during Saturday’s victory over Celta Vigoafter suffering a hamstring after he sustained the injury towards the end of the second half of the game.
The Polish went down and appeared to be holding the back of his left leg, before limping off the pitch to be replaced by Gavi.
When did Lewandowski join Barcelona?
The Poland international joined Barcelona from Bayern Munich in 2022 and has scored 99 times in 143 appearances.
Barcelons came from 3-1 down at home against Celta to win 4-3, with Raphinha scoring the winning goal from the penalty spot in the eighth minute of second-half added time. The result puts them seven points clear of second-placed Real Madrid, who have one game in hand, with six La Liga fixtures remaining.
