Fans of the German giants Bayern Munich have taken a stand regarding the exit of Thomas Tuchel at the end of the 2023/2024 season.

There is a new development in Thomas Tuchel’s tenure at Bayern Munich, as fans urge the departing coach to stay beyond this summer. This comes after the public confirmation by both the club and Tuchel that he would depart from the club after the 2023/2024 season in February 2024.

However, an online petition has surfaced, gaining momentum among supporters, who are calling for the German coach to stay at the club. Despite losing their Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen this season, fans of the deposed German champions are demanding that the club reconsider Tuchel’s future. The petition, titled “We want Juppel (Tuchel) and not (Ralf) Rangnick!”, has garnered over 11,000 signatures since its launch on Tuesday.

The petition reads: “Despite the negative media coverage surrounding him and the personnel situation with the injury-plagued Munich team, the Champions League winner led his team to the semi-finals of the Champions League. With all due respect to candidates like (Aston Villa coach Unai) Emery or Rangnick, these coaches can’t hold a candle to ‘Juppel’ (Tuchel). Considering that the ‘Finale Dahoam’ (Champions League final at the Allianz Arena) will take place next season, Bayern Munich should actually be glad to have such an outstanding Champions League coach like TT (Tuchel).”
