Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have both reacted to Bayer 04 Leverkusen winning the German Bundesliga for the first time in the history of the club.
Bayer Leverkusen with their 5-0 thumping of Werder Bremen earned their first German Bundesliga title since the inception of the league ending, Bayern Munich’s 11-year winning streak in the league.
On a momentous occasion, the Leverkusen team led by Xabi Alonso displayed an exemplary performance, showcasing their control and dominance on the field. The match witnessed a staggering victory for the team as they registered an impressive unbeaten run of 43 games across all competitions.
Florian Wirtz was the star of the show, scoring a hat-trick, while Victor Boniface and Granit Xhaka also added to the tally by scoring a goal each. This exceptional performance secured Leverkusen their first-ever title win, which was a long-awaited moment for the club, having finished second on five occasions in the past.
