Gelato singer and Nigerian Disk jockey, Florence Otedola, also known as DJ Cuppy has emphatically stated that she would rather quit any relationship and stay away from any situation that denies her freedom of expressing her true self than stay in it.
In a post on her official X handle, she said, “I’m not staying. In a room, a convo, a relationship, a platform, or anywhere at all that requires me to abandon my true self. I’m done with that”!.
Cuppy has over time been someone known to be expressive with how she feels, so her recent statement may suggest that she has been holding back on some issues she has been going through.
While her statement is directed to no one in particular, her last failed relationship with British boxer Ryan Taylor may come to the minds of many.
Remember she got engaged to him in November 2022 and in a stunning twist of events announced their break up just barely seven months later in July 2023.
