Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has weighed in on the House of Representatives’ recent directive to shut down all pornographic websites nationwide.

The House instructed the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 to block access to adult content across the country, a move that has sparked debate among citizens.

Reacting on social media platform X, Blaqbonez criticized the decision to shutdown pornographic websites, suggesting that the government was focusing on the wrong priorities. He referenced popular adult star Destiny Mira, implying that adult films provide comfort to many Nigerians.

“This country is funny. Destiny Mira, who helps us through tough times, and they want to ban her,” he wrote.

His reaction has further fueled online discussions, with many questioning the government’s stance on internet censorship.
