In light of the damning audio recorded evidence released by VeryDarkMan alleging corruption involving controversial socialite Idris Okuneye, alias Bobrisky, EFCC officials and NCoS, VeryDarkMan and his legal representative Deji Adeyanju arrived at the National Assembly Complex for the joint committee investigating the allegations today.

Bobrisky who was found guilty of money laundering charges levied against him was given a six-month sentence in Kirikiri prison. While it was widely believed that he was actually “undergoing corrections”, recent developments suggest otherwise, as evidence released by VeryDarkMan depicts a full-blown system overrun by bribery.

The recording had Bobrisky saying that he paid N15,000,000 to EFCC officials to have the charges against him dropped and with the aid of his godfather, in alliance with the Controller General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, he was not locked up with other inmates, but was instead given a private apartment for the six months.

To fully get the details, the House of Reps invited the linked parties connected to the damning bribery allegations.

VeryDarkMan who made the allegations was also invited, an invite which he honoured in the company of his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju.

Reports emanating from the hearing suggest that VDM initially refused to speak because Bobrisky had not arrived for the hearing. But members of the committee to urged him to proceed with his testimony in Bobrisky’s absence.

VeryDarkMan: “Bobrisky has disrespected all of us by not coming here today and you are trying to force me to speak.

In his words, he said, “If I say anything, let me die”.

Meanwhile, Some lawmakers are demanding that VDM be arrested by the sergeant-at-arms if he does not want to speak “because he has already been put on oath”.

Adeyanju who was earlier backing his client to not address the committee and give his testimony was seen discussing with his client, VeryDarkMan after the Lawmakers stepped in with their demands

According to The Cable, VDM later mounted the podium and addressed the committee with his ‘evidence.’

This is a developing story
