Rema kicks off 2025 in full Lover Boy mode with the release of his second single of the year, “Bout You,”.

After his first 2025 hit, “Is It a Crime,“ was a big hit and had everyone talking. People were already excited about the song before it even came out, which shows just how popular it was, with the song taking over everywhere and having everyone hooked. “Bout You” follows with the same magic — a catchy, emotional, and sonically rich track that highlights just how far Rema has come as an artist. His consistency is unmatched, and one thing’s for sure: Rema doesn’t miss.

Produced by his longtime collaborator London, the track leans into a softer, more melodic direction. It still keeps the Afrobeats vibe, but Rema adds his style and shows how versatile he is. “Bout You” stands out with its smooth sound — a mix of soft emotions, chill vibes, and romantic lyrics.

And speaking of lyrics, Rema shines the brightest in the second verse, a space he’s recently claimed as his signature, especially since the start of 2025, based on his first two releases of the year. Once again, he changes the vibe in the middle of the song, singing with emotion in a smooth, melodic way that’s sweet to the ears.

“Mi wan give you love and attention (Ha-ah)Mi respect this our affiliation (Ha-ah)Anytime you pass, you got man’s brows raising…Mi no like to show off for the internetI take your matter personal from day one to the end.”

It’s this verse that cements the vibe of the song and Rema’s new era. Rema isn’t just performing, he’s confessing.

Rema seems to have picked a new favorite word for his lyrics, which is “demeanor.” After using it in “Is It a Crime”, when he said, “This your demeanor, baby na major” he drops it again in “Bout You” with “E get the way you dey, demeanor — angelic.”

The single’s cover art also reinforces the message. Dressed like a full-blown rockstar, Rema exudes confidence and charisma, perfectly bridging his Afrobeats roots with a global image of stardom. He shows Rema is not only in His loverboy era, but he’s also showing his ‘Rockstar’ nature.

“Bout You” is another strong addition to his discography that’s fast becoming iconic. It reflects an artist fully in control of his sound, his message, and his moment

“Bout You” is more than just a love song; it’s a vibe, a statement, and another step in Rema’s unstoppable evolution. Smooth, emotional, and addictive, this one deserves a permanent spot on your playlist.

Rema is in his lover boy bag, and it sounds so good.
