Growing up as the youngest of three brothers in a single-parent household, Nugg was raised by his mother, who served in the Air Force. Moving frequently, he never felt a strong sense of home, even after spending over a decade in the DMV. Despite a turbulent youth marked by rebellion and fights, Nugg excelled in school, eventually attending Hampton University for a year before fully committing to his music career.
Since then, Nugg has carved a space for himself in the music scene, blending melodic rap, emo rap, hip-hop, and R&B. He debuted with Can’t Help and joined the DMV rap group BTG with his brother, later co-founding Whole Lotta Prodigies. His journey has taken him to major stages, including South by Southwest in Texas, the Pre-BET Awards in Los Angeles, St. Croix, and New York.
