In an unprecedented fusion of musical styles, Burna Boy is featured on 21 Savage’s new album ‘American Dream’.

The album dropped today, Friday 12th January. “American Dream” marks the rapper’s first solo album since 2018’s “I Am > I Was.” This album serves as a memoir about his incarceration by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) starting in 2019. The song is titled ‘Just like me’.

This would be the second song both artists have collaborated on. In 2023, Burna Boy and 21 savage collaborated on ‘Sittin’ on top of the world’ from his ‘I told them’ album. The song was nominated for a Grammy award under the Best melodic rap category.

BEST MELODIC RAP

  • Sittin’ On Top Of The World- Burna Boy feat. 21 Savage
  • Attention- Doja Cat
  • Spin Bout U- Drake & 21 Savage
  • All My Life- Lil Durk feat. J. Cole
  • Low- SZA

The album hosts 15 songs and features other international artists like metro boomin’, Doja Cat, and Travis Scott. As these two influential artists join forces, their distinct styles promise to create a track that transcends cultural boundaries and resonates with fans across the globe.

The African gaint and phyno dropped the official music video for ‘Do I’ remix, further amplifying the song’s impact. He bagged four nominations for the 66th Grammy awards, billed to hold on February 4, 2024 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles
