Afrobeats megastar Burna Boy has secured yet another international milestone with a new SNEP platinum certification in France for his 2019 collaboration Donne-Moi L’accord with French singer Dadju.
Donne-Moi L’accord with Dadju, which has surpassed 50 million streams on Spotify, adds to the growing list of global accolades Burna Boy has received. This latest achievement follows his recent RIAA gold certification for Alone, a track from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack that has now amassed over 164 million Spotify streams.
Alone, which was nominated for Best Global Song Performance at the 2023 Grammys, remains one of the standout tracks from the star-studded compilation, second only to Rihanna’s Lift Me Up in streaming numbers.
As Burna Boy continues his dominance on the world stage, he is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated eighth studio album. The album, No Sign of Weakness is expected to drop later in 2025. The album has already been preceded by successful singles, including Higher—a 67th Grammy nominee for Best African Song Performance—Bundle By Bundle, and Update.
Also, the 10-time Grammy nominee recently made history as the first artist to feature on the cover of Billboard France Magazine. Here, he discussed the global impact of Nigerian music and his influence in shaping the Afrobeats movement.
Lastly, with a track record of delivering Grammy-nominated albums, Burna Boy’s upcoming project is poised to continue his streak of international success. By this, reinforcing his status as one of Africa’s biggest musical exports.
