Nigerian rising star Divine Ikubor, known as Rema, had a touching encounter with American music icon Trevor George Smith Jr., better known as Busta Rhymes.

Busta Rhymes

The two artists met at an event, and Busta was thrilled to share the moment with the Afrobeats sensation. Rema, along with fellow artists Asake and Omah Lay, was a main act at the 2024 Promise Land festival in Australia. The festival took place from October 4-6, 2024, with a lineup of musicians such as Jorja Smith, Miguel, and Busta Rhymes. There were rumors that Rema and Busta met during the festival.

Busta, known for “I Know What You Want,” recognized Rema’s accomplishments and highlighted Africa’s contribution to producing talented artists. In his speech, he called the Mavin signee “brother.”

Wizkid & Rema

Wizkid, one of Africa’s most celebrated global music icons, and Rema, a rising star known for his unique blend of Afrobeats, trap, and alternative sounds, are both renowned for pushing the boundaries of Nigerian music. A track featuring the two would likely create a massive wave in the music scene, blending Wizkid’s smooth, laid-back style with Rema’s energetic and experimental approach.

Given the impact both artists have had individually, fans can only imagine the magic they might create together. If this collaboration becomes a reality, it could potentially dominate charts across Africa and internationally, adding to both artists’ incredible momentum in 2024. Keep an eye on social media for more updates as the hype continues to build!
