Cardi B has finally confirmed what fans have been waiting for: her second full-length studio album is officially on the way. Titled AM I THE DRAMA? the album is set to drop on September 19, 2025, marking seven years since her game-changing debut, Invasion of Privacy.

The Grammy-winning rapper took to her social media accounts to unveil the big news, revealing the album’s title, release date, and striking cover art. The announcement followed a cryptic teaser posted the day before—a dark, cinematic video featuring Cardi B surrounded by ominous crows and delivering a powerful spoken-word monologue reflecting on the past seven years.

“Seven years and the time has come. Seven years of love, life, and loss,” she declared in the teaser. “I learned power is not given, it’s taken… I’m not back, I’m beyond. I’m not your villain, I’m your tyrant. The time is here — the time is now.”

AM I THE DRAMA? follows 2018’s Invasion of Privacy, a debut that not only topped the Billboard 200 but also delivered a barrage of hits like “Bodak Yellow,” “I Like It,” and “Be Careful.” The album cemented Cardi B’s place in hip-hop and pop culture, boasting collaborations with SZA, Migos, Bad Bunny, Kehlani, and more.

Now, with AM I THE DRAMA?, Cardi is upping the ante. According to a press release, the album will feature 23 tracks, including fan-favorites “WAP” (2020), “Up” (2021), and her latest single “Outside,” which debuted this past weekend and serves as the record’s lead single.

Despite the gap between albums, Cardi B has remained firmly in the public eye—juggling motherhood with roles in film and reality TV, while also appearing on hit tracks with the likes of Shakira, Peso Pluma, GloRilla, and Flo Milli.
