The manager of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, has confirmed that his number one shot-stopper, Thibaut Courtois, will start the league game against Cadiz.
Ancelotti was speaking at a press conference ahead of the game, which will be played on Saturday, May 4, 2024. According to him, the Belgian will be his first game of the season but also confirmed that Lunin will return for the UEFA Champions League game against Bayern Munich.
He said,
“Courtois will play tomorrow, Lunin will play vs Bayern on Wednesday.”
He was also asked about who will probably play in a potential UCL final. He replied, “I don’t know.”
Courtois missed the entity of the season due to an ACL and meniscus injury he picked up before and during the season. Real Madrid fans will hope he stays fit for a very long time before picking up another injury.
