Real Madrid’s manager, Carlo Ancelotti has reacted to his team’s defeat against AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League on match day four at the Santiago Bernabeu.

This was Real Madrid’s first game at the Bernabeu since the 4-0 defeat against Barcelona, Carlo Ancelotti’s men made the worst possible start, falling behind inside the first 15 minutes through Malick Thiaw’s header.

The went on to equalise from the spot through Vinicius Jr but he Serie A giants scored and took the lead before the end of the first half through Alvaro Morata before they extended it to 3-1 in the second half.

Carlo Ancelotti spoke about his team’s performance during the post-match press conference after the game.

He said,

We had many chances. We lacked accuracy, we could score more. But this is not the problem. We don’t defend well. We need to be more compact. We lack solidity. We don’t run enough? Last year we also didn’t run a lot, and we won the Champions League”.

He also spoke about the chance of his team bouncing back from this poor result.

“We are confident we will get better and fight for all the titles”.

This result puts Real Madrid and AC Milan on the same points with the Spanish side ahead on goal difference.
