Chance the Rapper and his estranged wife, Kirsten Corley, have officially settled their divorce, bringing an end to their nearly six-year marriage. The news, confirmed by TMZ, comes after the couple filed documents in Cook County, Illinois last week, informing the court of their agreement.
According to the legal documents, Kirsten, who married Chance in December 2018, stated that their relationship had become “irretrievably broken” and that they had been living separately for over six months. While the settlement has been reached, further details about the terms remain under wraps.
Kirsten expressed her satisfaction with the settlement, calling it a “fair and equitable resolution.” However, the divorce is still awaiting final approval from the judge before it is officially concluded.
This settlement follows Kirsten’s filing for divorce in December 2024, just months after the couple publicly announced their separation in April. Chance and Kirsten’s relationship began in September 2013, and the rapper frequently referenced their love story in his music. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Chicago, followed by a lavish celebration in Newport Beach in March 2019.
The two share two daughters, Kensli and Marli, and despite the separation, both have expressed their commitment to co-parenting and keeping their family a priority.
