Even after the international success he’s recorded over the past few years, CKay continues his relentless pursuit of excellence, as he releases his first official single of 2024, Wahala. As you can see, the new record boasts a powerful feature from veteran rapper, Olamide.

CKay’s trajectory has been nothing short of amazing. His monster hit single, Love Nwantiti, which transcended borders and became one of the biggest Afrobeats songs ever, has recently achieved a mind-blowing 8x platinum certification in the United States by the RIAA.

Wahala pulsates with infectious energy, its foundation laid by a co-production from BMH and Moonesawmy Devadasen. CKay steps into the vocal booth with undeniable charm, serenading a love interest who has him completely smitten. Lyrics like “Totori me make I to to to, when I see you I fall in love, dark skin complexion, I have a confession, I’ve been thinking things I can do to you osiso” paint a vivid picture of his fervent attraction.

Olamide on the other hand, seamlessly complements CKay’s smooth vocals. He effortlessly switches between singing and rapping, weaving his own narrative about the irresistible allure of his muse. His verses flow flawlessly over the infectious beat, adding an extra layer of depth to the track.

The chemistry between CKay and Olamide on Wahala is very impressive. With the song out, CKay proves once again that he’s a force to be reckoned with in the Afrobeats scene, and with Olamide by his side on Wahala, the song is poised to become a fan favorite.
