The 40-year-old sent a cryptic message to the football world via his social media account after his final game of the season for the Saudi Arabia based club. He said, This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all.”
Cristiano Ronaldo has fueled speculation about his future with a special transfer window set to be openeď from June 1-10 for the Club World Cup. The 40-year-old became the best-paid player in football history when he joined Al-Nassr in 2023, on a deal reportedly worth £177m-a-year.
He played what seemed to be his last game for Al-Nassr having opened scoring in the game which was his 800th club goal of his career. Al Nassr finished their season with a 3-2 defeat b Al-Fateh to finish third in the Saudi Pro League.
However, Ronaldo may be willing to sign a short-term deal with a club to play in the Club World Cup before taking a final decision on his football career.
