Chelsea’s midfielder Cole Palmer has revealed the most difficult player that he has faced since he started professional football.
The English international was speaking in an interview that was released on Chelsea’s social media account where he was asked who was the most difficult opponent he has ever faced.
He replied saying, “Van Dijk”
Cole Palmer was fantastic in his first season at Chelsea since he completed his transfer from Manchester City during the 2023 summer transfer window. Hescored 25 goals and provided 15 assists for the club, his performances saw him win PFA Young Player of the Year.
He was also named England’s Men’s Player of the Year and ranked 25th in the latest Ballon d’Or ranking which was released on Monday, October 28, 2024
He has continued in his fantastic form this season having scored seven goals and five assists in nine Premier League appearances.
Palmer has faced Virgil van Dijk five times for Manchester City, Chelsea and England. However, he is yet to score against the Dutch defender in those meetings.
