Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane, born Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel, has ignited a fiery online exchange with Afrobeats sensation Davido’s cousin, Adewale Adeleke, after Adeleke’s post about “Ungrateful people.”

In a post on X on Thursday, April 4, 2024, Adeleke tweeted, stating “Ungrateful people never get anywhere in life,” prompted Dammy Krane to insinuate betrayal within Davido’s family. Krane referenced the alleged abandonment of Adewale’s brother by Davido, claiming Davido deserted his sibling upon amassing wealth despite their shared founding of the music label HKN.

“IF OWE B OWE CAN BETRAY HIS OWN BROTHER BECAUSE OF MONEY, WHO ARE YOU? THEY STARTED TOGETHER. HE LEFT HIM WHEN MONEY ENTER; UNGRATEFUL CHAP”, Dammy Krane tweeted.

In a swift response, Adeleke questioned Dammy Krane’s intentions and criticized his continuous criticism of Davido and fellow musician, Wizkid. He quipped that even God rested on the seventh day, suggesting Krane take a break from his tirade. “Bro are you okay? Like legit question, all you do all day is drag David and wiz. Even God rested on the 7th day,” He wrote.

Undeterred, Dammy Krane lauded Adeleke for not denying the alleged betrayal and suggested that Davido’s influence made Adeleke the submissive brother in their dynamic. “THANK GOD YOU DIDN’T DENY YOUR BROTHER’S BETRAYAL TO HKN PS: OWE B OWE & WIZ-M!DGET TWITTER BEEF & Delusional FANS CAN’T DICTATE HOW THIS CULTURE MOVES AGAIN”.

Adeleke vehemently denied the accusations and expressed concern for Dammy Krane’s well-being, urging him to seek help. He wrote, “What you’re saying is completely false, I’ve known you a long time hope you get the help you need G!”.

Dammy Krane persisted, painting Adeleke as a passive figure overshadowed by Davido’s authority. He wrote, “YOU’VE ALWAYS BEEN THE SOFT BROTHER. THAT’S WHY OWE B OWE MANIPULATED & BETRAYED YOU; I GUESS YOU DON’T WANT NO FAMILY ISSUES. CONTINUE MINDING YOUR PAPA BUSINESS”.
