After confirming the return of the Headies Awards to its birthplace (Nigeria) in 2024, organisers of the prestigious award have unveiled the nominees’ announcement date as well as the ceremony’s date for the 17th edition of the event.
When is the next Headies Awards?
Following the initial cancellation of the 17th edition of the Headies Awards in 2024, it has been confirmed in an official announcement on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, that the award ceremony which returns to Nigeria for the first time in over two years would be held on April 5, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria. The Executive Producer and CEO of the Headies Awards, Ayo Animashaun made this announcement.
Reports also confirm that the Headies Awards festivities will kick off on March 29, 2025, with key events such as The Headies Stakeholders Brunch and the Nominees’ Party, leading up to the grand awards ceremony on April 5.
Who are the nominees for the Headies Award 2025?
While the full list of nominees, host, and venue details are yet to be disclosed, the announcement of the ceremony date has already generated significant buzz. The announcement also confirmed that the full list of nominees for the Headies Awards 2025 will be confirmed on February 12, 2025.
The Headies Awards have been a hallmark of excellence since their inception in 2006, highlighting outstanding achievements and providing a global platform for Nigerian artists.
