Nigerian international superstar Davido is building momentum toward releasing his fifth studio album, 5ive, slated to drop on April 18. Following the announcement of the project and the rollout of two impressive singles, Awuke featuring YG Marley and Funds with ODUMODUBLVCK and Chike, the Afrobeats heavyweight has unleashed yet another record, Be There Still, as the third single from the highly anticipated LP. The new single, co-produced by Marvey Muzique, DJ Maphorisa, and Black Culture, sees Davido offering fans a taste of what’s to come from the much-anticipated 5ive album.

Be There Still is a feel-good, amapiano-infused tune that pulses with captivating log drums and a seamless groove. The track is a bold declaration of his enduring relevance in the ever-shifting music industry. With lyrics like, “Many go go, many go come, I will be there still,” Davido asserts his staying power, acknowledging the ebb and flow of artists in the spotlight while staking his claim as a constant force. He doubles down on this confidence with another standout line, “Anywhere wey the money dey, I will be there still,” blending his relentless hustle with an unapologetic chase for success.

Positioned as the third track on 5ive, Be There Still arrives hot on the heels of Awuke, the cross-cultural banger with YG Marley, and Funds, the hit track with ODUMODUBLVCK and Chike, signalling an album that promises diversity and star power. The production of Marvey Muzique, DJ Maphorisa, and Black Culture brings a rich, layered soundscape to the single, fusing amapiano’s rolling rhythms with Davido’s melodic finesse. The collaboration further underscores his ability to harness top-tier talent.

As April 18 approaches, 5ive looms as a pivotal chapter in Davido’s career. With Be There Still joining Awuke and Funds as appetizers, the album promises to be a show of his versatility—spanning Afrobeats/amapiano, street anthems, and soulful cuts—while reinforcing his strong presence. From Lagos to the world, Davido’s not stopping anytime soon, and the new single is proof that his spotlight isn’t dimming—it’s only getting brighter.
