Davido and his wife, Chioma Rowland, have officially arrived in Miami, United States, ahead of their long-awaited white wedding ceremony, which is set to take place this weekend.
In a series of posts shared on his Instagram story, Davido gave fans a glimpse of the luxurious journey, showing the couple boarding a private jet adorned with welcome flowers and a seat labeled “MRS”—a sweet nod to Chioma’s status as his wife.
Although the exact wedding date had been kept under wraps, reports now suggest the ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 9, with close friends and family already en route or present at the wedding’s location.
Davido also shared a photo tagging Miami as his current location, adding fuel to the excitement already building around the high-profile event.
Among the high-profile guests expected to attend is Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, who has also travelled to the U.S. to support his nephew. The governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, confirmed the trip in a statement issued following speculation about his whereabouts.
The white wedding marks another beautiful milestone in Davido and Chioma’s journey, a relationship that has seen both heartbreak and joy. After getting engaged in 2019, the couple briefly separated in 2021 amid public controversies.
However, the couple officially tied the knot in a private ceremony in March 2023 and welcomed twins later that year in the U.S. They followed up with a grand traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024.
