The singer is finally set to release his first single of the year, which features a descendant of the legendary Marley family.
The Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is gearing up to release his first single of 2024, titled ‘Awuke’.
After dropping his fourth studio album, Timeless, in March 2023, Davido has not released any solo tracks, though he has been active in several collaborations, including fan-favourite remixes like Twe Twe with Kizz Daniel and Ogechi with Boypee, Hyce, and Brown Joel. Now, he is set to return with his own music.
In a recent update, Davido officially announced the release date for Awuke, an upbeat Amapiano track—a surprising shift in genre, given the reggae roots of his collaborator, YG Marley, the grandson of the legendary Bob Marley.

The track is scheduled to drop on Thursday, October 31st, 2024. The singer shared the news on his social media, along with a pre-save link, giving fans the chance to be among the first to hear the track when it drops.
