Davido announces transfer of DMW artists to Nine+ Records

In addition to launching Nine+ records, Davido has also revealed plans for all Davido Music Worldwide artists to move to the new record label.

During his press tour for his Madison Square Garden Timeless concert, Davido had many interviews with the media. He recreated the iconic Kobe Bryant 2001 championship photo, he declared himself the Greatest of all time in Nigeria among other things.

The Grammy-nominated artist announced his collaboration with a US distribution firm, UnitedMasters, to introduce a fresh label named Nine+ Records.

This new venture announced on Thursday, April 18, 2024, aims to encompass a variety of genres beyond Afrobeats, including hip-hop, R&B, Latin, and country music. Founder and CEO of UnitedMasters, Steve Stoute, praised Davido’s entrepreneurial spirit and expressed optimism about the collaboration.

Davido announced on his social media platform that he would move all DMW artists to Nine+ Records. He said this on April 19, 2024. He said, “All dmw artist would be moved to Nine + records …. Clearing the air!”

In a press statement, UnitedMasters hailed the partnership as a transformative step for the African music scene. Davido has always prided himself as someone poised to elevate the careers of emerging artists to new levels.
