Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has responded to a social media user who mocked him for coming from a wealthy background.

The exchange occurred on the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter), where a user suggested that Davido’s success was solely due to his privileged upbringing. The troll wrote: “If no be silver spoon wey them born you with, two of us suppose dey same level by now.”

Davido, known for his candidness on social media, did not hold back in his response. He replied: “Nah ur mama go knack wrong person no be my problem bro.”

The response has since gone viral, with fans and social media users sharing mixed reactions. While some defended the singer’s clapback, others felt the exchange was too personal.

Davido, the son of billionaire businessman Adedeji Adeleke, has often faced criticism over his wealthy background. Despite this, he has repeatedly emphasized his work ethic and dedication to his craft, having carved out a successful music career that spans over a decade with multiple awards, hit songs, and international recognition.
