
Tottenham Hotspur have suffered a major blow ahead of the Europa League final against Manchester United following the injury to Dejan Kulusevski.
Dejan Kulusevski was ruled out of the final against the Manchester United and he is expected to commence his rehabilitation with the club’s medical staff immediately. He suffered the injury during Spurs’ 2-0 defeat at home to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday, May 12, 2025.
Tottenham released a statement on its official website on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 confirming the injury to Kulusevski.
“We can confirm that Dejan Kulusevski suffered an injury to his right patella in our Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace last weekend. Following further specialist consultation, the midfielder has undergone surgery today and will commence his rehabilitation with our medical staff immediately. We’re all with you, Deki.”
Spurs will also be without James Maddison and Lucas Bergvall who they lost to injury in the last two weeks. However, they received a huge boost from the return of captain Heung-Min Son against Palace.
Tottenham and Manchester United have been poor in the Premier League since the beginning of this campaign. However, both teams have a chance to redeem the season when they face off in the Europa League final where the winner will secure an automatic place in the UEFA Champions League of the 2025/26 season.
