Nigerian disk jockey Nonso Temisan Ajufo, popularly known as DJ Big N, has recounted his harrowing experience of being shot during a robbery attack in South Africa.
The robbery attack occurred on January 12, 2025, while DJ Big N was out with friends in Johannesburg, South Africa.
According to DJ Big N, he and an acquaintance were ambushed at a traffic light by two cars carrying six armed men. Despite attempting to escape, DJ Big N was shot and held at gunpoint, with the robbers demanding his jewelry and other valuables.
DJ Big N managed to get back into the car and was rushed to the hospital, where he received treatment for his injuries. Fortunately, the bullet missed major arteries and bones in his leg, and doctors deemed him lucky.
The robbery resulted in the loss of items valued at over $114,000. However, DJ Big N reflected that the experience made him realize the true value of life and the importance of living authentically.
In a post on his Instagram page, DJ Big N expressed gratitude for a second chance at life and vowed to appreciate life’s beauty without unnecessary stress. He also acknowledged the kindness of the people he met in South Africa, emphasizing that the actions of a few individuals should not define the entire nation.
