Nigerian man known as DJ Spoiltkid, amidst a brewing controversy surrounding gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey and his colleague, Mercy Chinwo, has come forward expressing remorse over his defamatory tweets.

The saga began when rumors circulated on social media suggesting Bassey’s involvement in Chinwo’s personal life, specifically regarding the paternity of her child.

NotjustOk had previously reported that Nathaniel Bassey took decisive action, submitting a petition to the Inspector General of Police to address the slanderous claims. DJ Spoiltkid, one of the individuals implicated in spreading these rumors, took to social media to issue an apology.

In a letter shared on various social media platforms today, Wednesday, April 10, 2024, DJ Spoiltkid conveyed his sincere regret for his tweets, acknowledging the distress they caused. He admitted to being shocked upon realizing the extent of his actions, particularly regarding the inclusion of a heading in his tweet.

Furthermore, DJ Spoiltkid emphasized his admiration for the music of both Nathaniel Bassey and Mercy Chinwo, asserting that his intentions were never to defame or cyberstalk either artist. He expressed profound remorse for the impact his words had on their lives.

This development comes amidst similar appeals from another individual, Agozi Comedy, who also sought forgiveness from Nathaniel Bassey and Mercy Chinwo over a related post concerning Chinwo’s child and Bassey’s alleged involvement.

As the controversy unfolds, it serves as a reminder of the potential consequences of spreading unsubstantiated rumors on social media and highlights the importance of responsible online conduct, particularly in matters involving public figures.
