DJ Tunez has set social media abuzz after teasing a possible Wizkid and Gunna collaboration set to drop in Summer 2025.

Anticipation is building in the Afrobeats and hip-hop communities following a series of cryptic but exciting updates from Nigerian-American DJ and producer, DJ Tunez. On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, DJ Tunez took to Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter) to hint at a possible upcoming collaboration between Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, fondly known as Big Wiz, and American rapper Gunna.

In a flurry of posts, DJ Tunez excitedly confirmed that the previously rumored collaboration is still in the works. He tweeted, “BIG WIZ X GUNNA STILL DEY O!” accompanied by a devilish emoji, signaling that the much-anticipated track is alive and well.

The producer didn’t stop there. In another post, he wrote, “BIG WIZ HEATING UP!” followed by fire emojis, and then declared “STARBOY SUMMER 2025!”, suggesting that Wizkid may have multiple projects lined up for release this season, further fueling fan speculation about a major musical rollout.

Accompanying the tweets was a monochrome studio photo showing Wizkid alongside what appears to be Gunna, both deep in a recording session. The atmospheric image, combined with DJ Tunez’s updates, has set social media abuzz, with fans eagerly anticipating what could be one of the biggest genre-crossing collaborations of the year.

While no official release date or project details have been shared yet, the posts signal that Wizkid is gearing up for an eventful summer. Given the history of successful collaborations between Afrobeats and American hip-hop artists, this potential track is already being dubbed a likely hit-in-waiting by fans and industry watchers alike.
