Davido has officially signed rising star Boi Chase to his renowned record label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW). The exciting announcement came alongside a celebratory dinner held in Boi Chase’s honor, as shared by DMW on their Instagram story.
The label posted videos of the intimate gathering, showing a warm welcome for the new signee. “Congratulations @datsboichase. Welcome to @davido @thedmwhq,” DMW’s social media caption read. Davido, never one to shy away from showing support for his artists, also shared the moment, posting a video of the celebration with the caption: “Welcome to greatness @datsboichase.”
Founded in April 2016, DMW has been the powerhouse behind the careers of several major artists, including Mayorkun, Peruzzi, Dremo, and many others. The label has consistently been at the forefront of Nigeria’s music industry, with a roster that boasts talents such as Yonda, Idowest, DJ ECool, Danagog, and more.
In March 2024, Davido made headlines again when he rebranded his label to DMW 2.0, unveiling two fresh faces—Morravey and Logos Olori—while also hinting at an exciting future for the label. The announcement continued with the revelation that all DMW signees would transition to a new label, Nine+ Records, in April 2024.
