Canadian hip-hop titan Drake has taken to social media to commemorate the astounding milestone of his hit single One Dance surpassing three billion streams worldwide.

The record-breaking achievement is a testament to the song’s enduring appeal and the global impact of its featured artists, including Nigerian music legend Wizkid. Released in May 2016, One Dance became an instant classic, blending elements of dancehall, afrobeat, and pop into a seamless sonic experience.

Featuring Kyla’s sample of her 2008 hit Do You Mind alongside Wizkid’s distinct vocals, the track proved to be a game-changing moment for both Drake and Wizkid. To acknowledge Wizkid’s integral contribution to the song’s success, Drake posted a heartwarming tribute on Instagram, sharing a photo from someone who was congratulating him on his new win. On his Instagram story, he tagged Wizkid for his core participation in the project’s success.

The celebration of One Dance reaching 3 billion streams comes amidst a series of accomplishments for Wizkid, whose own solo discography continues to thrive. Recently, hypeman, Money Gee displayed loyalty to Wizkid who gave him N20m By getting his arm tattooed. Additionally, he has won numerous awards, including the Grammy Awards, and has embarked on sold-out tours across North America and Europe.
