Nigerian record label, Eezee Conceptz, owned by Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, popularly known as EeZee Tee, has responded to allegations made by gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.
In a recent petition, Eezee Conceptz countered Mercy’s claims, accusing her of diverting revenues to her personal accounts during the peak of her career.
According to the petition, Mercy Chinwo allegedly boycotted scheduled events, causing disputes and damaging the company’s reputation. Eezee Conceptz also claimed that Mercy was charging churches exorbitant fees while blaming the record label for the high costs.
Furthermore, the music producer alleged that Mercy Chinwo instructed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to transfer approximately $274,000 (N500 million) into her account.
Eezee Conceptz denied Mercy’s claims that the record label tried to forge a new contract after their initial five-year contract ended. Instead, the label argued that Mercy began the legal battle, and they were forced to take her to court.
The petition marks a significant escalation in the public feud between Mercy Chinwo and Eezee Conceptz, with both parties exchanging serious allegations.
