Our favorite indie-rock downside little one has simply dropped her first Afrikaans single and it’s aptly titled “Probleem Form”. Sure… we’re speaking about Elle E. Sustain!
Only a few months in the past she dropped an ’80s synth-driven single – “Extra Than Associates” – and now she’s altering lanes with a brash, in-your-face monitor about narcissism.
In her personal phrases, “Probleem Form” is about somebody that’s abusing prescription remedy, having narcissistic tendencies and being very manipulative. Somebody that’s clearly struggling mentally, pushing folks away.
However within the second verse Elle E takes her energy again – “Soos Britney Spears / haven’t any tears / waai daai messe teen jou fears”.
With its tough and gritty qualities, the epic guitar shredding and low-fidelity vocals, Elle E channels the likes of Francois van Coke and Karen Zoid with rejuvenated spirit. Suppose these basic MK days. That’s the place this single takes me.
