
Manchester City forward player, Erling Haaland has reported signed a long-term contract extension with the Premier League Champions.
The news of Erling Haaland’s decision to commit his future to Manchester City was confirmed by the Athletic’s David Orstien on Friday, January 17; 2025. According to the renewed journalist, Erling Haaland signed a contract that will see him remain with the Cityzens until 2034 with a release clause which can be triggered in 2029.
The 24-year-old was linked with a move to Real Madrid, however, Haaland is known to be extremely happy living in Manchester and representing the Premier League champions. However, with this new contract extension, only a huge amount of money will be able to take him away from City.
Following a €60million transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, Haaland has scored a staggering 111 goals in 126 games and lifted two English top-flight titles, an FA Cup, the Champions League and a Super Cup.
Haaland’s previous terms were due to expire in June 2027, however, an insider who spoke exclusively to the Athletic confirmed that he has now put pen to paper a nine-and-a-half-year agreement which also comes with an increase in salary for the striker.
