Nigerian rapper and actor Falz has showered praise on actress Funke Akindele, calling her the “most hardworking entertainer” he has ever encountered. The admiration comes as Falz reflects on his collaboration with Akindele in her acclaimed sitcom, Jenifa’s Diary. He revealed this in a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo.

Falz shared that Akindele reached out to him after seeing his engaging videos on social media. “A big shout out to Funke Akindele! She reached out to me, possibly through Instagram, after watching some of my videos. She had a project in mind and wanted me to be part of it,” he recalled. “At that time, there was no Jenifa’s Diary; it didn’t even exist!”

The rapper went on to emphasize Akindele’s relentless work ethic, asserting, “I do not think I have ever crossed paths with any other entertainer in this country who is more hardworking than she is.” His admiration speaks volumes about her dedication to her craft.

Known for his versatility, Falz has made significant contributions to both music and film, earning two Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) for his performances in Jenifa’s Diary and New Money. He is also celebrated for addressing social issues through his music, with impactful tracks like “Wehdone Sir,” “Child of the World,” and “Talk.”
